Dutch Wonderland Grand Opening Set for May 1 and 2
(Lancaster, PA) – On Saturday, May 1, 2010, Dutch Wonderland, A Kingdom for Kids! will open its castle doors for its 47th season of "Making Firsts Happen." From first roller coaster rides to first tastes of cotton candy to first times "driving" a car, Dutch Wonderland provides many of the first and most memorable moments in a child's life.
Helping celebrate the Grand Opening is Dominic Colon, a cast member on the Sesame Workshop series The Electric Company. Colon plays Manny Spamboni, a member of "The Pranksters," the rivals of the Electric Company. The series is a revival of the classic 1970s show of the same name. Colon will be performing at Dutch Wonderland on both Saturday and Sunday, May 1 and 2. His performances are free with paid Park admission.
New in 2010 is free admission to Wonderland Mini Golf for all guests of Dutch Wonderland. Guests can show their ticket stub or their season pass at Wonderland Mini Golf and receive one free round of golf per person. Wonderland Mini Golf is an 18-hole course located within walking distance of Dutch Wonderland. Wonderland Mini Golf is open, weather permitting, at 2 p.m. on every Dutch Wonderland operating day. Wonderland Mini Golf closing times vary by date.
Dutch Wonderland will be open weekends beginning Saturday, May 1, and daily beginning Memorial Day weekend. Admission prices are $31.95 for Royalty (ages 3-59), $26.95 for Senior Royalty (ages 60-69) and $19.95 for Senior Plus Royalty (ages 70 and over). Royalty-In-Training (ages 2 and under) are free. Parking is free.
