A Kingdom For Kids! Remains Employee-Centered by Providing Employees With Free Physicals
A Kingdom For Kids! is continuing to make the employment process for area students even easier, this time by providing free physicals. Students need the physicals to obtain Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Work Permits.
The employee-centered program comes on the heels of a newly implemented and ground-breaking hiring system introduced this year, which offers both prospective employees and their parents the information they need to become active and important pieces of the Dutch Wonderland puzzle by holding immediate interviews and offering on-the-spot employment at candidate sessions.
"As a company, we are pleased to continue our mission to become a preferred employer in Lancaster County," said Michelle Saich, Manager, Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex. "By incurring the costs associated with State Work Permit physicals, Dutch Wonderland is helping our employees save money while cutting down on the wait time often associated when booking a visit with their doctor."
Lancaster General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, in conjunction with LGH Occupational Medicine Department and Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex, will give more than 730 seasonal employees at A Kingdom For Kids! the opportunity to receive the basic, routine physical needed to receive a Pennsylvania Work Permit.
"This is a great collaboration between two community organizations that we are pleased to be a part of," said Scot Larrimore, Employer Relations Specialist, Lancaster General. "To date, approximately 40 part-time employees have taken advantage of the program offered by Dutch Wonderland."
The Pennsylvania Work Permit physical, as spelled out by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, includes a detailed medical history; blood- pressure check; respiration check; and ear, nose and throat inspection.
