Dutch Wonderland Gets Involved in Habitat for Humanity
(Lancaster, PA) – Dutch Wonderland employees will take a few days away from the park to provide their helping hands in serving the community of Lancaster.
On October 19, Dutch Wonderland employees will participate in building and reconstructing homes with Habitat for Humanity. This is the second of three dates that Dutch Wonderland will help the organization.
"This is our second year working with Habitat for Humanity, and our staff finds it rewarding to help the less fortunate in our local area. It's also our way to show our appreciation to the community for the support we receive from them at Dutch Wonderland," said Deb Martin, Director of Entertainment and Marketing at Dutch Wonderland. Martin is responsible for organizing each volunteer outing.
Dutch Wonderland employees are assisting Habitat for Humanity in the South Plum Street section of Lancaster. The volunteers will be painting, sanding, dry-walling, sawing and hammering with the assistance of on-site professionals as they complete numerous assignments.
The Dutch Wonderland staff is committed to getting more involved with the community through their free services. Habitat for Humanity is a great opportunity to meet these goals and to leave a positive fulfillment in each participating employee.
Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. Through volunteering and donations, Habitat has built more than 225,000 safe and affordable houses for families all around the world.
