Peter Gros of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom
to Visit Dutch Wonderland
(Lancaster, PA) – Peter Gros, co-host of the original Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, is coming to Dutch Wonderland on Saturday, September 6. Peter and his animal friends will entertain and educate guests with two exciting performances at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater. Gros' performances are free with paid Park admission.
As special advisor of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom on Animal Planet, Gros provides the link between the original series, where he served as co-host, and the new specials. Gros is currently working with the network and the executive producers of each Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom special to ensure the shows meet quality standards for family viewing and deliver relevant conservation messages. This ensures that the new specials remain true to the heritage of the beloved original series. Gros was also featured in the "Cheetah: Race Against Time" Wild Kingdom special in 2005 and "Magnificent Moments" in 2007.
The original Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom series was one of the best known and longest running series about nature and the animal world. It was honored with 41 major awards, including four Emmy Awards and an endorsement by the National PTA for television programming recommended for family viewing.
Gros is a frequent guest on LIVE with Regis and Kelly and the CBS Early Show. In addition, he has appeared on numerous talk shows, including the Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
Park hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission prices are $29.95 for Royalty (ages 3-59), $24.95 for Senior Royalty (ages 60-69) and $17.95 for Senior Plus Royalty (ages 70 and over). Royalty-in-Training (ages 2 and under) are free.
