National KidsDay Talent Show Showcases Tomorrow's Stars
(Lancaster, PA) – Talented children will take the stage at Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2 as part of the National KidsDay Talent Show. Thirty-five acts will "wow" the audience with dance, music, karate, baton-twirling and more.
The talented acts travel to Dutch Wonderland from all over the region, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and New York. The acts showcase a variety of talents, including violin and piano performances, a tae kwon doe exhibition and a theatrical skit. Other performances include tap dancing, baton twirling and even a drumming demonstration.
More than 50 children auditioned for Dutch Wonderland's National KidsDay Talent Show during July. The acts were judged on costume, talent and showmanship. Performances will be held in the Amphitheater at Dutch Wonderland at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
This is the seventh annual National KidsDay Talent Show hosted by Dutch Wonderland. Kids Peace created National KidsDay in 1994 as an annual event to honor and celebrate the inherent values and worth of children. This year National KidsDay is Sunday, August 2.
Dutch Wonderland hours are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event is open rain or shine. All performances are free with paid Park admission. Admission prices are $30.95 for Royalty (ages 3-59), $25.95 for Senior Royalty (ages 60-69) and $18.95 for Senior Plus Royalty (ages 70 and over). Royalty-In-Training (ages 2 and under) are free.
