  • Frequently Asked Questions

    Do You Have Restricted Items?

    Firearms or weapons of any kind are not permitted in our Inn. Additional prohibited items include anything which is inherently dangerous to persons or property, which could be used as a weapon or which could foreseeably cause harm, including without limitation, fireworks, explosives or detonation devices of any kind, ammunition, hazardous chemicals or other substances, including acids or other items which appear suspicious to Park personnel. To avoid confusion, guests are not permitted to dress as our characters. 

    Grills, fire pits, outdoor appliances, and portable indoor kitchen appliances are not permitted on property or to be used while staying at the Dutch Wonderland Inn.

    What Are Some Fun Nearby Attractions?

    Lancaster offers many great local attractions, suitable for families of all ages! For a fun-filled day, visit the nearby theme park, Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park, which is located just next door to the inn.     Is a Laundry Facility Available?

    Yes! Our guest laundry facility is located between buildings 1 and 2. It includes two coin-operated washers and dryers, a microwave station, vending machines and ice machines. You may also purchase laundry soap from the dispenser.
     

    Do You Have WiFi?

    Yes! Internet access is life, so we’ve installed a hot spot in every room. You’re welcome!
     

    Do You Accept Cash?

    No, we have moved to safer and quicker transactions, so we only accept credit and debit cards and digital transactions. The Dutch Wonderland Inn is a cashless property. 


    What Is the Cancellation Policy?

    Be sure to cancel before the 48-hour mark before your check-in time to avoid any cancellation charges. Cancellations requested within 48 hours of arrival (after 4:00 p.m. two days prior to arrival) will result in a cancellation fee equal to the first night’s room rate. 
     

    Do I Need To Show ID?

    Yes! A valid ID is required at check-in and must match the credit card that was used for the $100 pre-authorization hold. This pre-authorization hold is charged to your card for incidentals.
     

    How Old Do You Have To Be To Book a Room?

    Guests must be at least 21 years of age in order to book a room at the inn. A valid ID and matching credit card must be presented at check in to receive your room.
     

    Do You Have an Early Check-In Option?

    We love that you want the fun to start as soon as possible. We always try our best to accommodate early check-in requests, but we cannot guarantee check-ins before 4:00 p.m.. If you arrive early and your room is ready, we’ll be more than happy to check you in. If it’s not ready yet, you’re free to check out all the fun we have to offer around the inn while our housekeepers finish preparing your room. Our front desk is staffed 24/7 and will be happy to assist you with late check-in – no advance notice required.

  • Accessibility

    Our goal is to accommodate our guests with disabilities to the fullest extent possible and in compliance with law. Most of our rooms, activities, amenities, and restaurants are accessible to guests with disabilities, including, among others, those using wheelchairs.

    When completing the booking process, please be aware of our ADA Accessible Guest Rooms and Royal Suites. If you need assistance in ensuring your room will be accessible, please contact the Inn directly. Guests are welcome and encouraged to use their own wheelchairs and accessibility devices while on property.

    If you (or someone you are responsible for) have a particular disability or special need, we encourage you to contact the Inn and speak with a guest experience team member at least 48 hours in advance of your visit to better assist us in preparing for your visit.  If you have a group of guests with accessibility needs, a week’s advance notice would greatly help us to better serve you.

  • Incidental Fee

     

    A $100 pre-authorization hold will be placed on your card to cover potential incidental charges. This is not an actual charge and will be released if unused.

     

  • Cancellation Policy

    48-hour cancellation is required to avoid any booking charges. Cancellations within 48 hours of arrival (after 4:00 PM two days prior to arrival) will result in a cancellation fee equal to the first night’s room rate.

  • Cashless

    The Dutch Wonderland Inn is a cashless property.

    At the Dutch Wonderland Inn, we are committed to ensuring you have a great experience! That’s why we have transitioned to smoother, safer cashless operations. At Dutch Wonderland Inn we will accept only electronic payments such as debit cards, credit cards, and mobile payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay. All you have to do is swipe or tap to pay at the front desk*, dining, and gift shop – no digging for change to pay or waiting for cash back from our staff. A fully electronic payment system streamlines the payment process for both Guests and Team Members, making paying for everything from merchandise to sweet treats safer, simpler, and more secure.

    *Please note, a personal credit or debit card is still required for your pre-authorization and incidental hold of $100 at check-in. A kiosk card cannot be used at check-in. However, you may use a kiosk card to pay for your stay. Please see FAQs below for additional details.
     

    Only Have Cash?

    You’re still covered! Guests will have free access to an easy-to-use Cash to Card kiosk conveniently located in the Inn lobby. You can transfer your cash free of charge onto a card, use it at the Inn, and if you have money left over, use it anywhere else that cards are accepted.
     

  • Check In & Check Out

    Only guests 21+ may make a reservation and check in.

    Check In - 4:00 PM – early check in may be able to be accommodated but are not guaranteed. Notes can be placed in the guest’s reservation, and we encourage the guest to call day of arrival for guidance.

    Check Out – 11:00 AM – late check out may be able to be accommodated but is not guaranteed. Notes can be placed in the guest’s reservation, but we encourage the guest to inquire the day of their departure for guidance. Guests are required to vacate the room by check out time. Any guests remaining in the room after check out will be subject to partial or full day charges, as determined by Inn management.

  • Children

    Notice to Parents & Guardians – Children under the age of 13 may not be left unattended in any portion of the inn. All amenities (Pool, Arcade, Restaurant, Café, Toon Room, Splash Pad, and activities areas) require that children under the age of 13 be supervised by an adult at all times. We strongly recommend that these guidelines be applied to minors (under 18), and that those individuals be accompanied by an adult as well.

  • Drones

    Prohibited & Illegal. Use of drones (in, over, or around the inn), whether for photographic purposes or otherwise, is strictly prohibited (unless the user has been granted written, contractual permission for that specific instance from an officer of the inn or its parent entity). Violations may subject the user to immediate eviction, confiscation of the drone, and referral of the matter to authorities. Drones are a serious safety hazard to inn operations (including electrical facilities), and to the inn's guests and personnel. Use of drones in, over or around the inn, also constitutes an illegal trespass, an invasion of the inn’s privacy, and a tortious interference to our operations.

  • Drugs

    Illicit drugs are strictly prohibited. Authorities may be called for anyone in possession of, using, selling, or distributing, any illicit substances.

  • Exterior Grills & Indoor Appliances

    Guests are NOT permitted to utilized charcoal or gas grills on property. Guest are NOT permitted to bring additional appliances (Foreman Grill, Panini Press, Toaster or Toaster Oven, etc…) as these items violate local fire code and are not permitted within the inn.

  • Medical Marijuana

    Marijuana is strictly prohibited on premises, whether in the inn or in the parking lots, or anywhere else on, in, or around, inn grounds. If you have a medical marijuana card, this does NOT entitle you to have marijuana on inn grounds. Anyone in possession of marijuana, or using marijuana, will be evicted from the property.

  • Operational Policies

    • Prices and operating schedules are subject to change without notice.
    • All amenities are subject to temporary maintenance, safety or inclement weather shutdowns.
    • These Inn Rules and Policies are not comprehensive, and are subject to change without notice. The inn may have numerous additional rules and procedures applicable to guests which, if not followed, may subject the guest to eviction without refund.
  • Pool Rules

    All guests are required to follow posted rules and regulations for the outdoor pool, slide, indoor pool, and hot tub. Guests must be a minimum of 44" to use the outdoor pool slide. Please see a lifeguard if you have any questions.

  • Pets

    Pets are NOT permitted anywhere on property. This includes inside guest rooms, within the vehicle of a guest, or in any of the shared spaces on property. Service animals are permitted as required.

  • Photography

    Personal
    Guests are welcome to take pictures of themselves, their friends and family, their group, and the scenery in general, for their own personal use. In addition, no one is permitted to take photographs of others who object, or which violate another’s privacy, rights to publicity, or which are harassing, stalking, or threatening. Image taking or recording is strictly prohibited, under all circumstances, in bathrooms, changing rooms, and locker areas; violators may be held for law enforcement, and are subject to arrest and prosecution.

    The Inn May Take and Use Images & Video of All Guests. The inn, at all times, reserves the right to videotape patrons, and take still images, and to utilize those images and videos for any reason, including marketing, advertising, promotion, on social media, live streaming on the Internet, for safety and security, for documentation as evidence in a legal or criminal matter or other investigation, for news reporting, and otherwise in an unrestricted manner for legitimate purposes. All property ownership of such materials, and copyright in and to all such materials, shall belong exclusively to inn in perpetuity, without any compensation or other consideration to any guest or other person in, on or around the inn property.

    Commercial
    Commercial photography of any kind is strictly prohibited (including without limitation, still or moving images, modeling shots, student films, comedy routines, documentaries, commercials, TV news, major motion picture films, Internet soap operas, reality TV, actor demo reels, submission videos for reality TV, footage as part of a school project, documentation of stunts and dangerous activities (whether for commercial use or not), promotional videos, music videos, cable programs, etc.), except where prior, written permission has been obtained from the inn’s owner in the form of a contract signed by an executive within inn’s corporate office.

    In any event where unauthorized video or images has been uploaded to any social media channel, inn shall have the unrestricted and exclusive right and authority to have such materials removed. Any materials which defame the inn may result in legal action for damages, and the inn shall have absolute right and authority to obtain both temporary and permanent injunctions from the further use or dissemination of such material, in all channels and all mediums of communications, throughout the world, whether now known or hereafter devised, and to obtain all materials and obtain an order for the destruction of all such materials.

  • Rules of Guest Behavior

    All guests must behave in a family-friendly, respectful, and courteous manner, and in a manner which is safe for themselves and for others. Violations may result in eviction from the inn without refund or other compensation. They may also result in the inn contacting appropriate law enforcement authorities. The following is strictly prohibited, subjecting the violator to ejection without refund:

    • Fighting - The inn does not tolerate aggressive or threatening behavior. This includes fights (physical or verbal), challenges to fight or any threat thereof (whether to an intended victim or comments in general expressing a desire or intent to hurt another person), or any form of physical assault upon or intimidation of another person. You may also be evicted for any pushing, roughness, “chest bumping,” aggressive moves (e.g., clenching fists, getting face-to-face with another, getting into a fighting stance, etc.), or other physically aggressive conduct.
    • Offensive Conduct - We operate a family-friendly inn, where people should be civil courteous of one another. Prohibited conduct includes profanity, cursing, making offensive comments or gestures, pushing, spitting, flashing of body parts, and other offensive conduct.
    • Sexual Activity or Misconduct - Sexual activity, and displays of sexuality, are inappropriate for a family-friendly inn. Guests may be asked to cease such activity and warned about the possibility of removal from an amenity, or they may be evicted without refund (in the inn’s discretion, depending on all factors). In the more offensive and graphic instances, the offending persons may be held for law enforcement. In any event of reported sexual misconduct, the inn may eject offending persons or hold them for law enforcement depending on all of the facts and circumstances of the alleged misconduct.
    • Unruly Behavior - “Horseplay” in any of our amenities or guest rooms can be dangerous to you and to those around you. Accordingly, all manner of “horseplay” is prohibited, including without limitation, jumping over any objects (benches, fences), diving or jumping into water structures, climbing on trees or structures (buildings, lamp posts, etc.), standing on tables or chairs, climbing up or jumping over barricades and fences, wrestling, playing tag or chasing each other, throwing items (shoes, food, rocks, sticks, rafts or inner tubes, etc.), jumping down stairs, twirling around banisters, gymnastics-like activities (kart wheels, flips, splits, handstands, etc.), or any sports-like activity (throwing a football or Frisbee across crowds, kicking a soccer ball around the inn, etc.). Please walk through the inn (no running), stay on the walkways. Refrain from entering any landscaped areas—landscaped and planted areas such as flower beds are not meant for guests to tread upon. Exercise caution when going up or down stairs. Guests will be required to adhere to property quiet hours (10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily). Any violations of those quiet hours, including complaints from adjacent rooms in regard to excessive noise, or noise that can be heard from outside of the guest’s room, can result in eviction from the inn without refund.
    • Courtesy for the Disabled - Please respect people with disabilities, the elderly and the infirm, and any areas (seating, parking spaces, etc.) which may be reserved for them. Please be patient if you are waiting on line, while we seek to accommodate a guest with special needs. Courtesy and kindness are appreciated and make life nicer for everyone!
    • Property Damage and Theft - Any damage to or destruction of inn property (or the property of another), or theft of any property, will not be tolerated. Offenders will be may be held for appropriate law enforcement authorities and will be evicted from the inn. Guests will be charged a fee for any items taken from guest rooms. Amounts charged for stolen items will vary based on the cost to replace the stolen item.
    • Personal Belongings – The inn is not responsible for any lost or stolen items throughout the stay. This includes items stored in guest rooms, in vehicles, or items that may be lost or stolen in any public areas.
    • Entry into Employee-Only and other Non-Guest Areas - Many non-guest areas can pose deadly hazards—do NOT enter these areas. Guests are strictly prohibited from entering any area with obvious signage such as, “EMPLOYEE ONLY,” “NO ACCESS,” “KEEP OUT,” or “DO NOT ENTER.” Guests should refrain from entering any maintenance areas, work shops, offices, tool sheds, electrical rooms, ride motor rooms, etc., whether or not such areas are marked with signage. Offenders are subject to immediate eviction from the inn and where appropriate, such persons may be held for appropriate law enforcement authorities. Parents who allow their minors to engage in such activity will be evicted.
    • Creating Hazards - Please DO NOT LEAVE SHOES, TOWELS, BAGS OR OTHER ITEMS ON PATHWAYS AND STAIRS -- SUCH ITEMS MAY POSE A TRIP HAZARD. Please be considerate of others.

    Violations of the any inn policy may (in inn’s discretion) subject guests to eviction without refund, or (in the case of criminal acts), being held by inn staff or security until law enforcement arrives and assumes control of a matter.

  • Service Animals

    Service animals are permitted on property in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Any service animal on property that is deemed to pose a threat to guests or staff will lead to the guest being evicted from the inn.

  • Smoking

    Dutch Wonderland Inn is a 100% smoke free property. The inn does not offer smoking rooms, nor do we allow smoking in any of our shared spaces (pool area, courtyard, exterior activities, corridors, or parking areas). There are three designated smoking areas on property that can be utilized throughout a guest stay. Those locations will be shared at check in and indicated on the map provided by the front desk staff.

  • Water Attraction Attire

    Appropriate swimwear is required for water rides or water-play structures. Swimwear which is too provocative or revealing, including without limitation, transparent or mesh-style material, is prohibited. Guests will be asked to vacate the water amenity if management deem swimwear to be in violation of this policy.

  • Weapons & Other Prohibited Items

    All of the following are strictly prohibited items which will (minimally) subject the guest to immediate eviction without refund, and which (where appropriate) may result in the inn contacting authorities for law enforcement action, and holding the guest at the inn to await the authorities. Inn reserves the right at all times to conduct Bag Checks (and to utilize other security measures, such as metal detectors), and to refuse entry (without refund) to anyone refusing a thorough bag check or to comply with other security measures.

    • Weaponry of any kind is strictly prohibited at the inn, including without limitation in parked cars, concealed on one’s person, or carried in bags, including without limitation: Firearms, knives and other cutting instruments, letter openers, scissors, box cutters, bats, billy clubs, blackjacks, collapsible canes, arrow tips, projectiles, crossbows and sling-shots of any size, mace, pepper spray, tasers, brass-knuckles, chains, canes carried as a weapon or which conceal a weapon, martial arts weaponry, anything which is intended to be used to bind or subdue people such as slip-ties or handcuffs, and tools (screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, chisels, pruning shears, multi-tool knives, etc.). Additional prohibited items includes anything which is inherently dangerous to persons or property, which could be used as a weapon or which could foreseeably cause harm to persons or property, including without limitation, fireworks, explosives or detonation devices of any kind, ammunition, hazardous chemicals or other substances, including acids or other items which appear suspicious to inn personnel.
    • Tools (screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, chisels, pruning shears, multi-tool knives, etc.).
    • Spray paint, magic markers, glass objects or bottles, spiked clothing, jewelry (which is large, sharply edged, or spiked, such that it poses a safety concern).
    • Folding chairs, beach umbrellas, tents.
    • Radios/boom boxes, musical instruments.
    • Hoverboards, skateboards, unicycles, stilts, pogo sticks, spring-loaded footwear, Segways and other mobility devices, bicycles, roller skates and other toys or methods of convenience. (If you need a wheelchair or scooter, we are of course happy to accommodate you; please see our Guests with Disabilities section herein). The Inn can be crowded places, and the only way to keep our common areas safe is to ensure that people do not have devices which create a heightened risk.
